On-site System Commissioning and Certification

The most popular SpectraLink installation option is On-site System Commissioning and Certification, which includes comprehensive pre-installation planning and coordination, installation of SpectraLink Wireless Telephone Systems, equipment testing and certification, and hands-on administrator and end-user orientation training.

Whether it is the installation of a new SpectraLink Wireless Telephone System or the expansion of an existing system, SpectraLink on-site installation service begins with one or more pre-installation conference calls between the SpectraLink installation coordinator, the customer-appointed project manager, and any other relevant parties. Installation planning details are reviewed and a preliminary schedule is agreed. System site preparation is thoroughly

discussed, including customer facility, wiring, power requirements, and PBX/LAN preparation. Customers are asked to sign and return an appropriate Scope of Work checklist before each installation. Once this is received, the SpectraLink installation coordinator confirms the installation date. Upon arrival, the SpectraLink installer inventories all system components, installs infrastructure, registers Wireless Telephones, initiates live system test and modem access, and ensures that the system is configured and operating properly according to published specifications. System coverage is then certified across the entire site. If it is determined that a SpectraLink-related installation problem can be resolved by continuing to work after hours, the installer will do so at no extra cost.

Immediately following the successful completion of the system installation and verification, the installer will guide the customer-appointed system administrator through 30 minutes of system administrative training. Up to two hours of hands-on end-user orientation is also offered to those present and available at the time of the completed system installation.
