In order to provide the highest level of functionality to SpectraLink 8020 and 8030 wireless telephones, SpectraLink has developed digital interfaces to the leading enterprise telephone systems. This advanced digital interface technology emulates proprietary digital telephone sets, making advanced switch features such as multiple line appearances and display features available to SpectraLink 8020 and 8030 wireless telephone users.

Designed for the Workplace
The SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway provides the interface between an enterprise PBX and a wireless LAN network. Supporting digital and/or analog line interfaces, the SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway provides the voice encoding and packetization required to transmit telephone conversations over an IP network. The SpectraLink Telephony Gateway provides the necessary control signaling to the host PBX allowing SpectraLink 8020 and 8030 wireless telephone users to access all the features and capabilities of the PBX. SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateways are designed to integrate with the existing enterprise PBX. All of the provisioning, maintenance, and administration functions of the host PBX are used for the SpectraLink 8020 and 8030 wireless telephones. Each SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateway supports 16 users, and up to 50 SpectraLink 8000 Telephony Gateways can be deployed in a single network supporting up to 800 users.
